St Bartholomews Cathedral

Frankfurt
A Gothic building constructed during the 14th and 15th centuries. It was often used as a site for electing Kings for the Roman Empire and some emperors were even crowned here. This is the main church in Frankfurt and it's sometimes referred to as St. Bartholomew's Cathedral, as the pope donated the skull of St. Bartholomew as an object of worship. It can only be seen on Sundays, holidays and on the Saint's holy day 24th of August.
