Bornheim is a beautiful, safe and clean area of Frankfurt. It's located northeast of the centre of Frankfurt, so if you really want to get a feel for the city, make your way here. You can reach Bornheim by taking the U-Bahn to Bornheim Mitte from any location in the city.

Bergerstrasse is your main shopping area in Bornheim, this would be your central point as all the entertainment shopping and dining facilities are along this wonderful street. Every Wednesday and Saturday at Am Uhrturmchen (at the clock towers) hosts the Bornheim Farmer’s market with fresh fruit and vegetables along with bakers, butchers and local craftsmen.

Bornheim has been given the nickname “The funny Village” as this area of the city was known as the red light district up to 120 years ago. Still quite a vibrant and exciting district and its very popular with the younger visitors. While strolling around Bornheim why not pop into Solzer or Zur Sonne - two of Frankfurt’s most traditional cider houses which are both located on the bustling Berger Strasse.
