getting there frankfurt

How to get to Frankfurt:

Most visitors to this city, will arrive at Frankfurt's International Airport, which is one now one of the busiest airports in the world. It ranks only second to London Heathrow as the busiest airport in Europe, serving over 265 non stop destinations world wide.

It's surprising to know that this little city, has in fact two airports. Frankfurt-Hann is the name of the city's second airport, although it's not actually situated in the city, rather 120km west of Frankfurt. It was formerly a U.S military base during the Cold War, but since 1993 it has been used to relieve the traffic volumes into Frankfurt's International Airport. It mainly caters for no-frills airlines like Ryanair, so you should have no trouble finding a cheap flight into here!

The city is also easily accessible by train, so if you find yourself inter-railing or enjoying a trip around Europe, simple hop on a train to Frankfurt and you will arrive in one of three railway terminals in the city; the Southern Station, the Central Station and the Airport Station.

Driving to the city isn't a problem as it is very well connected with several autobahns.
